Major Projects

Davis has experience performing integrated field development studies utilizing traditional reservoir engineering methods supported with dynamic modeling. Davis consulted on a number of projects in Western Siberia, including full-life development planning for secondary and tertiary targets in the Van Yoganskoye field, and a waterflood analysis of the Samotlor field to identify pattern areas with remaining development potential. He has performed portfolio management studies for clients with extensive oil and gas properties to evaluate the technical and economic uncertainty associated with future development activities, and to provide guidance to optimize capital allocation.

Davis’ simulation experience includes modeling of a naturally fractured carbonate oil field in the Arabian Plate Intrashelf Basin of Kuwait, gas-condensate and saturated oil fields across the Berkine and Illizi Basins of Algeria, thermal recovery of a heavy oil field in the Vogal-Ural Basin of Russia, and domestic CO2 sequestration in the Cook Inlet Basin.

In addition to reservoir studies and simulation, Davis has experience performing reserves and resources evaluations. Davis has performed evaluations using deterministic and probabilistic practices, with knowledge of both SEC and PRMS guidelines. Reserves and resources evaluations include conventional oil and gas fields as well as tight gas in Pakistan, unconventional resources in Russia, heavy oil developments in Kazakhstan, and enhanced oil recovery projects in Colombia.
