Reservoir Studies Division
DeGolyer and MacNaughton’s Reservoir Studies Division is responsible for technical assessments and field development related studies. The Division has completed thousands of integrated studies around the world and employs a large group of technical professionals including geophysicists, petrophysicists, geologists, and engineers.
D&M has performed simulation studies on numerous onshore and offshore fields, with experience in clastic and carbonate reservoirs and a range of development activities including depletion, waterflood, and both established and cutting-edge EOR techniques. To complete its work, D&M uses state-of-the-art geologic and reservoir modeling techniques, and the staff is experienced in a broad range of modeling platforms. D&M also develops its own software to enhance its capabilities in specific applications.
Through the Reservoir Studies Division, D&M performs a wide range of studies, including:
- Geophysical interpretation
- Petrophysical evaluation
- Reservoir characterization
- Geologic modeling
- Simulation modeling
- Field development studies (black oil, compositional, chemical, and thermal)
- Field rehabilitation studies
- Enhanced oil recovery studies
- Surface network simulation
- Rate enhancement studies (completion design, fracture design, pump optimization, etc.)
