Regnald A. Boles
Regnald (Reggie) A. Boles is Executive Vice President and Manager of the firm’s Europe/Africa Division. A reservoir engineer at DeGolyer and MacNaughton since 1991, Boles has conducted detailed investigations of oil, gas, and condensate reservoirs in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. He has expertise in the application of worldwide reserves and resources systems. Boles worked for Oryx Energy Company (formerly Sun Exploration & Production Company) from 1983 to 1991. At Sun, Boles was responsible for reserves evaluations, economic valuations, long‑term recovery-efficiency studies, and feasibility studies.
Boles graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering. A registered professional engineer in the State of Texas, he is past chairman of the Dallas section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers. He was elected a Vice President of D&M in 1995, Senior Vice President in 2011, and Executive Vice President in 2022.

His experience encompasses reserves estimations, appraisals, and fair-market-value opinions for numerous clients, as well as management of large projects and presentation of results to a variety of audiences worldwide, including prominent financial institutions.
He has completed full-portfolio reviews for tax exchanges, sales, and purchases, and has managed the reserves certification for some of the largest worldwide privatizations and initial public offerings. Boles manages ongoing studies for national oil companies and has presented seminars for companies desiring consistent reserves reporting. His experience also includes NGL development, commerciality declarations, portfolio enhancement, and specialty financing. Boles has specific technical expertise in PVT analysis, pressure-transient test analysis, and reservoir management.
