IT Senior Systems Administrator – (Dallas, TX)

DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT Team. D&M provides innovative services for our clients that leverage both cloud and on-premise technology. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in IT system administration, infrastructure support, and application administration, with a strong background in endpoint support and third-party application management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage application packaging and deployment.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for third-party Oil and Gas industry specific applications.
• Collaborate with vendors for third-party application support.
• Drive patch management process, including monthly Microsoft patches and other third-party patches.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Express.
• Handle hardware integration and troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, scanners, and local printers.
• Manage workstation deployment and troubleshooting.
• Manage antivirus administration and deployment.
• Provide support for financial systems such as QuickBooks and BST.
• Diagnose and resolve issues reported by the global user base.
• Ensure the security, reliability and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
• Keep up with emerging technologies and implement them in the organization.
• Collaborate with IT Team to ensure systems run smoothly across the D&M hybrid on-premise and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

Capabilities:

• Patch management experience with ManageEngine, Intune or similar product.
• Third-party application support, troubleshooting and vendor management skills; application knowledge specific to Oil and Gas is a plus.
• Antivirus administration and deployment skills.
• Hardware integration and troubleshooting experience (laptops, desktops, scanners, printers).
• Microsoft Active Directory administration experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Express.
• Microsoft endpoint upgrades (e.g. Windows 10 to 11) experience.
• Microsoft Azure experience.
• System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) knowledge is a plus.
• System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with financial systems (e.g. BST, QuickBooks) is a plus.
• Avid learner and passion for applying technologies to innovate and drive business value.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Copes well with workload pressure and deadlines.
• Experience working as part of a global organization.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of working experience in IT system administration.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
• U.S. work authorization required.
• Occasional off hours/weekend work.
• Multi-lingual speaker is a plus.
• Dallas, Texas based role (Hybrid).
