
Ginger R. Grimes
Ginger P. Grimes joined DeGolyer and MacNaughton in 2021 as a petroleum engineer to evaluate reserves and resources. Prior to joining D&M, Grimes worked as a senior reservoir engineer for Teal Natural Resources and as a reserves coordinator for Pioneer Natural Resources (Pioneer).
Grimes graduated with a master’s degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 2016. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Mississippi in 2008. Grimes is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Major Projects
Grimes has extensive experience in unconventional plays across North America and worldwide (Anadarko, Bakken, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Marcellus, Powder River, and Wolfcamp), with a focus on the Eagle Ford Shale. She also has experience in the Alaska North Slope Basin as well as conventional plays in the Gulf of Mexico Basin.
Grimes works in several programs, including PHDWin, ARIES, Mosaic, and Citrine, and contributes to development of in-house well performance analysis software to assist in evaluating reserves and resources. She is well versed in estimating reserves in accordance with the definitions of the SEC and PRMS, and develops reserves and resources estimates based on decline-curve analysis, production diagnostics, and rate-transient analysis. Her experience includes appraisals, due diligence studies, economic modeling for publicly traded and privately owned companies, and financial institutions.
Grimes has evaluated and developed internal assets as well as numerous potential acquisitions. As a reserves coordinator at Pioneer Natural Resources, she performed evaluations of the Eagle Ford Shale in accordance with the requirements of the SEC and PRMS, and prior to that evaluated multiple basins at Netherland, Sewell, & Associates.
